Sonophoresis

What is Sonophoresis?

The skin provides a barrier, mainly through lipids (oils) between skin cells. Sonophoresis uses ultrasound vibration

to disrupt the barrier helping in transdermal delivery of topical skin treatments. Sonophoresis allows increased

penetration of topical vitamins, creams and serums. Sonophoresis allows for rapid and intense absorption of

important topical ingredients (including vitamins A. C, skin lighteners and serums) to improve the appearance of

skin, making it appear smoother, younger and healthier.

What results can you expect?

After this treatment your skin pigmentation will improve, skin texture can be smoothed. This treatment is also good

for fine lines, wrinkles and ageing skin.

How many treatments are recommended?

It is recommended to have a series of 6 treatments.

After this sonopheresis should be included in your regular facial plan.

How Does Sonophoresis Work?

Sonophoresis application causes small spaces to open between the skin cells that results in an increased penetration

of ingredients applied to the skin. Disruption of the lipid barrier by the ultrasonic vibration also helps in the

transdermal delivery. The infusion technique and associated product application will improve the appearance of the

skin, improving pigmentation, skin texture and fine lines and wrinkles. Immediately after your treatment your skin

will look radiant, hydrated and glowing.

Does it hurt?

pink immediately after the treatment but usually feels firmer, cleaner more hydrated with a healthy glow. Some

exfoliating treatments.
